Background:

Anomaly started in 2007 when Josh Meredith decided to throw his first event called Creation after recently moving to Austin Texas. After 10 years of performing, djing and doing visuals he has seen his fair share of both mistakes and successes by event organizers all throughout the country. He decided it was now time to create something unique and contribute a totally new way to the electronic music scene as well as the cutting edge art scene.

Go Beyond:

The goal of Anomaly is to create cutting edge events that do not stand in any particular category. You cannot fit an Anomaly into a box. It is something that is unexplainable and even sometimes unimaginable until it becomes a tangible experience. Anomaly is designed to go beyond the average event. It is an event organization that is created by artists and run by them as a means to design an experience rather then just organizing talent, venues, sound and promotion.

Ignite the Arts:

Anomaly is also an organization dedicated to promoting and showcasing both local and international artists of all kinds. Not just music but visuals, art installations, digital and deco artists. Its also dedicated to promoting local artists in eventually creating fund raising events for larger scale art installations to flourish the local art community in Austin Tx. The goal is also to bring riveting international talent to the Austin area that has never been here before as a means to inspire our community.

Therapy:

Dancing is extraordinary form of therapy that has much inspired the Anomaly organizers to bring this kind of therapy to audiences here in Austin. Anomaly's goal is to create experiences with positive resonance designed to bring healing and therapy to all. As life can tear us down in witch only it can, we 're here to create a sanctuary of peace where spirits can be uplifted and hearts can be healed.

Entertain:

Its also important to not take life so seriously and just have fun with it. We work our jobs, raise our kids, pay our bills and its important part of life to cut loose, go with the flow and brock out to some beats as a way or survival in the structured matrix of life. Its our goal to create experiences designed to pull people off the grid. We create our own structured matrix within society that eventually becomes confining. We think its important to break out of the molds we have created for ourselves and connect with our creative spirit as a form of enlightenment.
